Question by aleerickson: Why doesn’t my tech tree increase during the Rebel campaign in the PC game Star Wars, Empire at War?
I am on the third mission, Theft of the X-wing, about to attack Fresia, and for some reason, the tech tree has not increased to where I can build an Officer Academy, Light Vehicle factory, or Nebulon B frigates, like it says in the Player’s Guide. I have all the available buildings (barracks and mines) on all my controlled planets, as well as Level 2 space stations in orbit of all of my planets. I examine the tech tree in the Help menu, and it all indicates that I should be able to build more based on what I have so far. Also, C-3P0 and R2-D2 can’t steal tech from any Imperial planets; I’ve tried. Could someone please advise what’s going on here, or how I rectify it? Thanks.

the game probaly wont let you because its supposed to be a challenge. some games need be like that so its not like a stroll in the park.
