My boyfriend just left for bootcamp : ( but his tech school is at the same place his boot camp is, lackland, texas. My friend’s ex boyfriend had that same situation and he got to come home right after boot camp for a little bit. Has this happened to anyone or does anyone know if this is what usually happens? Thanks.

To my knowledge, you do not get leave. You go right into your tech school training. The only way I’d think you get to go home is if there is an emergency at home or if the next tech school doesn’t start for quite a while and there is nowhere for incoming Airmen to stay. You could always call up and ask his recruiter, but I highly doubt he’ll be coming home.
