my sound/audio went out on my Laptop computer everything works find except the audio some computer wizards tell me its my mother board because its not the sound card an some tell me its not either its some other issue but instead of paying loads of money i want a cheap method around that problem and go to radio shack and purchase this item but i don’t know what it really does i just know what it says i would cal but there closed so can someone/anyone tell me please will it like bring the audio back like and external sound card or not here is the link http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.… if this is in the wrong category please tell me which one to put it in please.

its just an interface so you can use the USB to plug in headphones instead of the built in jacks.
