Question by : Is an IT (info tech) degree respected by the game industry?
For those of you who don’t know, IT is the science behind the internet, and the hardware and software that runs it.

It seems like it would be relevant, or at least helpful, in the business. Even so, any degree at all would help me to stand out, I hope.
Don’t mention game degrees. I know that the game industry laughs mercilessly at these, and the “schools” who provide them.

My friend has a degree in gaming and he can’t get a job. It’s a hard field to get into. That’s why you hardly hear anybody talk about working there.
